yesterday, while we were on our way to the college to attend the release of the pilosopo tasyo, we have seen fr. tom, alive and well, greeting us cheerfully as if he had never been to the hospital for weeks.
this morning, he has passed away. apparently, his heart was not able to make it.
surely, we will miss his words of wisdom, his cheerful presence in our community, his morning walks (where the last time we met, we talked about the western tradition of knowing and thinking), and the many things that fr. tom was both known and not known for.
we pray for him.

I was also a student and a spiritual directee of Fr Tom, and he also became a dear friend. I mourn his passing but am grateful for his influence on my spiritual life and I have much to thank him for....
